The drapes use a Somfy motor — it’s a white motor about a foot and a half long, with a white power cord that plugs into a receptacle behind the drapes. That’s what opens and closes them.
When you get a chance, take a quick look behind there and see if that white cord is plugged into a smart plug. The smart plug is what allows the motor to be turned off when it’s not in use, which helps prevent it from “jogging” (moving back and forth on its own).
If there isn’t a smart plug there, then we may need to add one so it can be turned off when not needed.

How do I turn it on and off is there a remote for it somewhere other then pad in kitchen I do not see a way to do on and off from there unless I'm missing it? And please check if that automation is working that was mentioned let's start there I think when you have a chance maybe reset that and make sure it's running

The issue with the Somfy drapes is likely interference — things like microwaves or other nearby devices can cause the motor to jog or act unpredictably.
The best way to prevent this is to turn the motor off when it’s not in use, and only turn it on when you need to open or close the drapes. Previously, we had an automation set up to handle this automatically — it would turn the motor on, wait a few seconds, open or close the drapes, and then turn it off again.
It’s possible that automation isn’t running anymore, so that’s something we can check or re-enable. Unfortunately, there isn’t another way to prevent the interference besides turning the motor off when not in use.

Can you get a little more information about what’s happening when you say it’s not working? Are you able to connect, and it’s just really slow, or are you not able to connect at all?
Also, can you send me a picture showing your Wi-Fi signal strength on your phone in the living room or bedroom? And please take a quick photo of the setup above the laundry so I can see how the equipment is currently arranged.

I have a second drape question the other day when it did work that side opens wider than the side where the door is. It seems like the end limit is not set at its max. On the door side draped Can that be adjusted to open wider ?

It worked one day last week randomly I woke up and it was open on its own and it let me open and close it that day but then following day it went back to not opening again. Now it's doing something odd where it looks to be trying to open moves about two inches and closes again. It will do it like 5 times then give up for an hour or two or longer it's very random but has been doing it a lot today so I took a video I'll attach

Hi Mimi overall things are going well but I am having a couple water issues
The hot water is the largest problem. Without running the tub for 10-15 minutes every time I want hot water at a sink including the kitchen or either bathroom using the dishwasher the washing machine or taking a shower. It’s wasting a ton of water. There’s no way it’s working as intended. No way everyone in this building is using that amount of water or living like that. I lived on 20th floor at Newport and did not have this issue at all much higher up. Something has to be wrong and corrected and if that’s not possible then some sort of insta hot water system needs to be installed most likely in closet where softener system is located something needs to be done
The other water related issues I’m having are at kitchen sink. The main sink drains very poorly and gets backed up into sink. And the disposal on the other side doesn’t clean itself out at all and doesn’t drain well either these maybe related but I’d like a mechanical person that’s understands them better then I do to check them out
I did poor an entire bottle of Mr draino down kitchen drains it did not help
